Merano Flower Festival - 2019
Merano, Trentino-Alto Adige Italy
Merano is a splendid garden town and therefore a perfect location for a garden and plant festival that enhances the Merano Spring event’s program. Leading horticulture businesses from Italy and abroad are involved in the second Merano Flower Festival.
The 2019 Merano Flower festival is held on the Passer Promenade. A lovely and elegant spring location for a free flora exposition, where visitors can stroll past aromatically scented flowers, talk to experts, take part in botanical workshops, listen to talks and buy rare and sought-after plants. However, even those without a garden or a collection of rare plants will enjoy their visit. With its intoxicating mix of scents, colors and culinary treats, the festival arouses curiosity and interest in the wonderful world of plants.
The vendors are selected by Mimma Pallavicini, a journalist and keen observer of Italy’s landscaping scene, who has written for such respected magazines as “Gardenia”. Her choice of stall-holders will ensure a wide variety of plants on offer at the market, ranging from A (azalea) to Z (zinnia).
The flower and plant market also comprises a program of side events, including workshops for the whole family and live performances during the weekend. Moreover, talks and debates with renowned experts are held on a “green” sofa (made of plant material).
