Madeira Flower Festival – 2018
The Flower Festival is one of Madeira largest festivals a tribute to the special liaison of its residents with flowers and springtime, and intends to promote the wealth of flowers that color, perfume and inebriate the environment in order to reinforce the islands notoriety abroad.
This tribute will take place in May, so appropriately entitled the "month of flowers". Madeira Tourism is the official promoter of the Flower Festival, an event that intends to marvel tourists and residents alike by giving it a genuinely innovative character and also by prolonging the celebrations over a longer period of time. Young people dressed with costumes depicting flowers will parade along the central walkway of Avenida Arriaga. Sakura-matsuri Festival – Sumida Park – 2019
The Sumidagawa River is a celebrated destination for admiring cherry blossoms since the premodern Edo period. The festival takes place on the Taito-ku side, in Sumida Park home to some 600 trees of varieties including the Somei Yoshino, Oshima-zakura, and Sato-zakura.
Enjoy the contrast between the blossoms along the riverbank and the towering TOKYO SKYTREE(R). Imitate tasteful visitors and take in the view of cherry blossoms on both sides from a yakatabune houseboat or waterbus. Or delight in the majestic view of trees in the park illuminated at night.

In spring, 4.5 million nemophilas (baby blue eyes) paint the 3.5-hectare Miharashi Hills light blue. The nemophilas are stunning under the blue sky against the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean.
The Nemophila Harmony is the climax of the Spring Flower Sequence. The view from the top of the Miharashi Hills, 58 m above sea level, is wonderful! It’s a world of its own where the blooms, the sky, and the ocean are all blue.

This hillside will bring back memories of fields of flowers in the countryside. An old house with a 350-year-old miscanthus grass roof has been reconstructed on this hillside. Rapeseed and buckwheat are cultivated in the surrounding fields.

Forde Abbey – Tulip Festival – 2018
During the two months of April and May, when over thirty thousand tulips bloom across the gardens, we have named the two weeks between Saturday 29th April and Sunday 14th May a Tulip Festival, when the bulbs are at their best and you can enjoy wandering around the gardens in a spectacular sea of colour.
It’s an annual delight that started in the Autumn of 2013, when 13,000 bulbs were planted in the herbaceous beds to give an early start to colour in the Park Garden, on the Mount and in the Kitchen Garden. Keen to evolve the tradition of tulips at Forde Abbey, we’ve given Danny, our gardener, carte blanche to design this year’s display, which will include; Fontainebleau, Rem’s Favorite and Queen of the night – some welcome colors to look forward to after the Winter months.

Throughout the polder, you can admire over a hundred mosaics, decorated streets and bridges.
The Flower Days is an annual event.
Throughout Breezand and Anna Paulowna are over a hundred mosaics.
These are paintings made of Styrofoam. It is used to hyacinths nails pricked with pins, on each square meter go up to 10,000 flowers.
Young and old make the mosaics, they are real pieces of art.
The mosaics are in the gardens of the makers and are on display at the Flower Day for everyone.
A list of participants and a map you can determine your own route by bike or car drive past all the mosaics.

The magnificent Japanese Garden is the crown jewel of Clingendael Park, with beautiful and rare trees and plants. The garden is extremely fragile. That is why the Japanese Garden is open only 8 weeks in the year.

The garden has a unique and surprising atmosphere, partly thanks to the beautiful moss cover. The garden contains many stone lanterns in all shapes and sizes. It also has 2 water casks. One water cask has 4 images of Budhas. The other water cask is in the shape of a lotus flower.
The beautiful pavilion offers a great vantage point to admire the garden. The pavilion had sliding doors until around 1940. These panels were put back in place in 2009 with the help of Japanese architects. Lady Daisy's legacy is now a place of serenity and reflection for visitors to the Japanese Garden.

Allium Extravaganza – 2018
During May & June 2018 eruptions of pom-pom headed alliums will burst into bloom at Arundel Castle.

Hiroshima Flower Festival – 2018
The Hiroshima Flower Festival is one of the biggest annual events held in Hiroshima Prefecture. A celebration of flowers, nature, music and peace, the festival takes place along Hiroshima Peace Boulevard over a three-day period during the "Golden Week" long holiday each May, attracting well over 1,000,000 visitors from all over Hiroshima Prefecture and beyond.
During the festival, over 30 stages are set up along Peace Boulevard for special events and performances and there are also exhibits featuring regional products, flea markets and more.
