Infiorata Noto – 2018
Infiorata - Flower festival Noto Sicily
The floral carpet or greeting to Spring: in Nicolaci in Noto, each year the third sunday in May, a cascade of thousands of flowers, expertly arranged on the road, making the vision of baroque city full of scents and colors. This event is one of the best on he island of Sicily. In the streets a series of Palaces belonging to the nobility wich create a surprising prospective: Modica place, Giunta palace. But it is the actual city of Noto that brings all these things togheter that creates an architectonic Stage.
The main showcase takes places in Via Nicolaci where people can look down to enjoy the flower images and then up to admire the wonderful baroque balconies.
Sakura-matsuri Festival – Sumida Park – 2018
The Sumidagawa River is a celebrated destination for admiring cherry blossoms since the premodern Edo period. The festival takes place on the Taito-ku side, in Sumida Park home to some 600 trees of varieties including the Somei Yoshino, Oshima-zakura, and Sato-zakura.
Enjoy the contrast between the blossoms along the riverbank and the towering TOKYO SKYTREE(R). Imitate tasteful visitors and take in the view of cherry blossoms on both sides from a yakatabune houseboat or waterbus. Or delight in the majestic view of trees in the park illuminated at night.

During this weekend, a hidden part of Amsterdam becomes visible as more than 25 canal house gardens are opened to the public.
Generally, the most beautiful gardens of Amsterdam are all hidden behind the huge canal houses all year, but during the Amsterdam Open Garden Days you are allowed to roam freely.
At the moment of the construction of the canals, not only stately houses and flowering gardens were developed, but also spectacular garden houses, picturesque gazebos and carriage houses. The inhabitants could relish in drinking tea, playing games and enjoying the greenery.

During May and June, Infiorata festivals are held in various Italian towns and are definitely a must to see, if you are planning to visit one of the many regions where these festivals take place. American Tulip Day – San Francisco
You can pick a bunch of tulips on Union Square San Francisco. The tulip picking garden opens at 1 pm and will be open until 4.30 pm. Each person can pick their own bouquet of 10 beautiful tulips.

Fritillaria Society Show at RHS Garden Wisley – 2018

Canola fields – 2018
Endless fields of Canola flowers
Zhuanghang Town in Fengxian District holds some of the country’s prettiest canola fields. During the warm months of spring, 3,000 acres of land explode into a sea of gold, making for a very cheerful and picturesque backdrop. The town is also known for their honey pears and rice crop, making them something of an agricultural mecca.
The festival features more than 650,000 square meters of Canola flowers, rapeseed flowers, vast fields of pear blossoms and 3,000 cherry blossom trees all in full bloom.

Shixiang Lake Tulip Festival – 2018
Every year in March, Shixiang Lake Tulip Festival, one of the largest tulip festivals in all of Asia, is held at the Shixiang Lake Sightseeing Area near Pujiang River in Chengdu, Sichuan province.
Tulips, the national flower of the Netherlands, are usually in bloom every year from March to May. Shixiang Lake Sightseeing Area (石象湖生态风景区) is one of the best sites for admiring flowers, as when the tulip bloom season passes, lilies, roses and tens of other different flowers will start to bloom right after.

The Shanghai Flower Port turns into a veritable mini Holland every spring by way of their annual Tulip Viewing Festival that normally runs for around a month. On display are 500 different species of blooms, and 3.2 million buds that consists not only of tulips, but also hyacinths, anemones, roses, wisteria, and more. It’s a little removed from the city centre, but worth making a trip out there over the weekend to take in all the colors and greenery.

For over sixty years, Mother Nature has transformed the rolling hills of north San Diego County into one of the most spectacular and coordinated displays of natural color and beauty anywhere in the world.
The nearly fifty acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers that make up The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch® in Carlsbad, California, are in bloom for approximately six to eight weeks each year – from early March through early May – literally bringing the famous fields back to life.
This annual burst of color, which has become part of the area’s local heritage, also is one of nature’s official ways of announcing the arrival of spring here in southern California.
