Floralies Ghent; The most beautiful walk of the year!
From April 29 until May 8, 2022, Ghent is all about flowers with “My Paradise, My Worldly Garden”, the theme of Floraliën Ghent. This year was the 36th edition of Floralies Ghent and for this occasion, World Love Flowers was invited by Visit Flanders and Visit Ghent to enrich our senses with the greenery and floral splendour. Once every 4 years, the city of Ghent will be the scene of Floralies. The iconic location Floraliënhal, in the Citadelpark, will be the decor for 10 days of the most beautiful creations by national and international top florists, ornamental growers, garden architects and artists.

The Mystic Lamb in Ghent
Who says Ghent, says the Lamb of God. The two are inseparably linked. Ghent is the city where van Eyck painted his world-famous masterpiece, and where for six centuries millions of visitors from all over the world have come to admire the altarpiece. This monumental work consists of twelve panels, each depicting a biblical scene, and is therefore recognized as an artistic highlight and one of the most influential paintings ever made.

Beervelde Park – The Garden Party!
With its 240 participants and more than 20,000 visitors, the Tuindagen in the Park of Beervelde has become a household name for garden fair lovers. For three days, from mid-May to mid-October, the Park is a treasure trove for the most demanding plant lover. This event also offers its visitors, together with musical entertainment, a wide choice of decorations and antiques for the garden and its surroundings, crafts, children’s activities, workshops and regional culinary products that provide a harmonious overall experience. Beervelde: an atmosphere, a cosy outing with friends or family, a place where twice a year gardening friends meet in a natural environment.
Plantetuin Meise – Discover botanical and horticultural collections of world importance!
This one is not in the city of Ghent itself (just a few hour drive away), but it’s worth to mention! Stroll through a magnificent estate and see 18,000 different species of plants from around the world at Plantentuin Meise, three kilometres from the Atomium! This 92-hectare botanical garden features not only crocuses but also carnivorous plants. Even during freezing temperatures, you can find beautiful exotic plants in the Plant Palace, the beautiful greenhouse complex. In the summer, the gardens are in bloom. There are several themed gardens, including a garden with medicinal plants, a rose garden, a WOOD lab and a barefoot path.
